About this Scholarship
The Government of Andhra Pradesh is running the Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scheme to offer monetary support to qualified students from SC, ST, BC, Minority, and EBC (covering Kapu) communities for undertaking PG, Ph.D, or MBBS programs overseas during the 2023–24 academic year. This applies to individuals attending any of the top 50 global institutions or universities according to the most recent QS and THE (Times Higher Education) world rankings for 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh.
- The maximum age restriction is 35 years as of the notification release date.
- Annual household income cannot surpass ₹8 lakhs.
- Only a single applicant per household qualifies.
- Individuals who have previously obtained monetary aid through any comparable program sponsored by the State or Central Government do not qualify.
- Academic Requirements
- For Post Graduate (PG) programs: Must achieve a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade in the relevant qualifying degree across Engineering, Management, Pure Sciences, Agriculture, Medicine and Nursing, Social Sciences, or Humanities.
- For Ph.D programs: Must achieve a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade in the relevant PG degree across Engineering, Management, Pure Sciences, Agriculture, Medicine, Social Sciences, or Humanities.
- For MBBS programs: Must achieve 60% marks in Intermediate or an equivalent qualification.

Mandatory Paperwork
- Caste Certificate issued by the Village or Ward Secretariat.
- Income Certificate issued by the Village or Ward Secretariat (with physical certification from the District Collector).
- Ration Card, if accessible.
- SSC or Date of Birth Certificate (required for age confirmation).
- Aadhaar Card.
- Nativity Certificate obtained from MeeSeva or the Revenue Department.
- Qualifying Examination Certificate
- Intermediate certificate for MBBS
- Degree certificate for PG
- PG certificate for Ph.D
- Mark sheet of the qualifying exam (serving as evidence for the required minimum marks).
